This rough assembly is the very first music video I ever directed- Me and Ryan, Sean Faris, and my lil La La tribe of production artist- we dove into this production with a ton of high expectations with from the Record label- We jumped into an RV, a tradition that still lives on today 13 years later, we drove around apple valley California scouting and shooting a shot list my Dp and I created back before gimbals and 5d's. We shot this Music Video with our custom built zip lines for tracking moves, and tons of mirrors for lights, The original final cut can be seen on YouTube it has over a million views, as well as, a behind the scenes video, shot by A Rolling Stones crew that came out to do an article on the band. The song was written for a young girl who died in front of her boyfriend. They lived by hoping trains and traveling the country rails. She had a journal in her Hand when she allegedly walked onto the tracks to meet the train with purpose her spirit was taken but somehow her journal filled with smile empty soul lyrics and illustrations survived and the tragic circumstance became an inspiration for the band to write this song for her.. It was an amazing experience to film and create a visual story to honor a real persons story.
