Being provided with the word ‘erupt’ I was tasked to explore my meaning of the word and demonstrate how forms and objects can function as carriers of meaning.
I interpreted ‘erupt’ in a musical sense, the visual representation of the eruption within a song. From this, while listening to the climax of song, I used the tempo, beat and melody to physically create a sculpture that represented this. Then, I translated it into digital form using Cinema 4D in which my sculpture grew in time to the song.
