Un western épique dans l’Afrique du Sud du début des années 1950, à la fois surprenant, captivant et mystérieux, qui reprend l’histoire vraie de la chasse à l’homme du hors-la-loi John Kepe (Ezra Mabengeza).

Autoproclamé le “Samson des monts Boschberg”, John se donnait pour mission de voler du bétail et des vivres aux fermiers blancs pour les donner aux indigènes pauvres, à la manière de Robin des Bois. Inévitablement, il fut une menace politique contredisant le fondement même du système de contrôle colonial de l’époque, et fut condamné à mort, lors d’un procès d’Etat, avec 37 chefs d’accusations à son encontre.
