‘Sensory Crossover’ explores the overlap of two senses, otherwise known as synaesthesia. This film captures the familiar sounds and images of everyday life, purposely enhancing them in a way that seeks to display an unfamiliar association between both pitch and colour. Taking inspiration from the constructivist movement, ‘Sensory Overload’ displays recognisable sounds and images of ordinary and familiar household objects, but presents them in an almost surrealistic way. Unique framing and bright tints of colour work towards creating an unexpected audio-visual experience, while allowing audiences to be immersed in the mundanity of everyday life.
