This is a complete re-design of a specific clip from the original "Blade Runner" movie. I chose this section of film because it doesn't have dialog, and it provides an opportunity to demonstrate a wide variety of sound design, from very large sounds (the ship), to very fine detail sounds (Foley when investigating the tub).
- The ship sound is pure synthesis. I created the pitched motor sound with Serum, and the engine noise sound with Fabfilter's Twin 2. There are some mid-high sounds blended in from my stock library of generative sound processing for character.
- Most of the Foley sounds whilst Deckard is investigating the tub were original recordings tailored for the scene using special highly-sensitive mics to capture the must subtle movements.
