'Sculptural Movement: Chapter I & II' (2016) is part of an ongoing artistic research called 'Scanning Cinema' that evolves around scanning moving images.
This video consists of 20.000 scans put together in a stop-motion video. Within this piece, the relations between film (movement) and sculpture (stagnation) are being explored.
Chapter I researches with the cinematic moving (mobile point of view) of the sculpture, while Chapter II deals with the photography (fixed point of view) of the sculpture in a book, within a moving image.
