Scraps Of è un cortometraggio che esplora il tema della solitudine. Il progetto vuole raccontare in maniera evocativa e simbolica lo stato d’animo e gli effetti provocati da una condizione di isolamento, spontaneo o involontario che sia. L’obiettivo è quello di dare una rappresentazione tra il verosimile e l’iperbolico di quanto sia sottile il confine che separa lo stare soli dal sentirsi soli. Per quanto fosse già alto il numero di suicidi per anno in Italia (circa 4000), la situazione pandemica in corso da marzo 2020 ha influito negativamente su questo dato soprattutto a causa delle limitazioni, tra cui il distanziamento sociale, la quarantena, il consumo di alcol e la perdita del lavoro.
Il titolo del corto rimanda ai significati polivalenti che il termine “scrap” può assumere: rottame, pezzo, avanzo, scarto, ritaglio, demolire. Ciascuno di questi termini incarna una tematica che può essere riscontrata nel cortometraggio.

Scraps Of is a short film that explores the theme of loneliness. The project wants to tell in an evocative and symbolic way the state of mind and the effects caused by a condition of isolation, whether spontaneous or involuntary. The objective is to give a representation between the verisimilar and the hyperbolic of how thin the border is between being alone and feeling alone. Although the number of suicides per year in Italy was already high (about 4000), the ongoing pandemic situation since March 2020 has negatively affected this figure mainly due to limitations, including social distancing, quarantine, alcohol consumption and job loss.
The title of the short film refers to the polyvalent meanings that the term "scrap" can take on.
