The purpose of our film is to present the image of time. The moment in time we are trying to capture is the moment when you are full of joy and excitement on Christmas Eve. Santa has a huge smile on his face as he is pulling out the gifts he has made for his hopeful children. The children, who have gone to sleep, and are full of anticipation for the moment when they open their new gifts.
We wanted to use this image because Christmas is a special time of year. Christmas brings happiness to lots of people. It’s the most wonderful time of year. Our version is meant to be a humorous take on this idea.
This is a stop frame animation completed in one day and was approx. 350 individual shots. The animation was filmed in ‘stop motion’ and the soundtrack added in ‘i movie’.
