made a little film which mixes analogue found footage, and digital media. I’ve been thinking recently about film reel as an object with relation to myself as the filmmaker. The film depicts a performative piece of myself soaking the film reel into the sea. The sea salt then dries onto the film reel forming little salt crystals leaving an interesting texture. The found footage portrays a scene of water in which I wanted to respond to within the film by using elements of nature such as wind and water to manipulate the reel.
