Rouge, the colour of wrath, blood and desire, the three separate yet intertwined tightly within one another. Surrealism combines vibrant colour with a jarring soundscape invoking intense emotions.

With red as the focal point of the film, the exploration of intense emotions occurs through the bathing of red light, the accents of red paint, or blood, and the juxtaposition of black against red light, and red against white light. The red light masks any red marks against skin, only revealing itself once switched to white light, lending shock value to the piece.
The soundtrack begins with a melancholic lullaby against the backdrop of flora, seemingly peaceful, until it abruptly changes to a haunting, eerie tune that compliments the red lighting and intense imagery.
