Our wedding film love story

How did you guys meet?
We met through mutual friends at a bar. I (Callum) used to DJ at this venue, and she used to work behind the bar.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?
We love our trips away to nice hotels and evenings eating out.

How did the proposal go down? (all the gushy details, I love this bit!)
I took her to our favourite UK country hotel, and we had a picnic in the grounds. It was a lovely warm day in June, and I had a book with characters of ourselves personally made about all the reasons why I love her and at the end page (by which point she was already crying!) it asked her to marry me. She looked up and I was on one knee with the ring, and she burst into more tears!

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?
Originally, we chose Pennyhill Park but obviously that got cancelled 3 times due to covid! As we can only have a small wedding, we wanted something intimate and beautiful, and it no longer needed to be huge to fit our original near 100 guests. The church for the actual wedding itself is on my parent’s road and her dream has always been to see me to get married there. We found Smallfield place for the reception and fell in love with the original features and picturesque grounds.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?
Relaxed and happy.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?
No theme as its so small. Colour wise its pastel pink and white.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?
Dealing with covid!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
Enjoy it!
