Play, download and edit the free video Picture book - 1992.

This is a nice little movie and the only time I ever shot anything on actual film stock.
Myself and Andy Harris handed this in as our final project on the film course we were on at Cleveland College of Art and Design (incidentally Ridley Scott had attended this college many years before).
We used a Bolex camera with a mix of colour and black and white 16mm film and, rather than edit on an old machine with splicers and tape, we had it transferred to U-Matic tape.
It features my grandfather and my kid brother and is all the more precious as this is the only moving image of my grandfather that exists to my knowledge.
I wrote and recorded the music on an old Yamaha keyboard that had a disk drive attached to it so that you could record up to 6 tracks at once and I still think that the tune holds up to this day.
