This exquisite 3:45 minute dance sequence, from the 2008 film "Easy Virtue" - an adaptation of Noel Coward's 1939 play of the same name, is stunning in the movie. The movie's ensemble music, nice indeed, is replaced here with Linda Ronstadt's performance of Perfedia, a modification I felt might be very delicious. Perfedia means faithlessness and in the instance of this movie's underlying tension, betrayal and treachery within a family are at play.
The dance is so seductive - the man / woman attraction so artistically on display for the room's audience, Perfedia underscores the essence of the story and brings the Latin passion to the couple's spontaneous experience. Listening to Linda's performance I imagined how stunning she would be supporting this favorite dance sequence and on a lark decided to try it.
Technically, a little editing and adjusting of images along with running the sequence in slow motion to further emphasize the beauty of their movements, the extraordinary lines in silhouette of Jessica Biel played opposite the pride in the stature of Colin Firth.
