During the quarantine, surfer Tomás Valente began to question the world that “robbed the waves around him”. In the days that followed where he spent his time absorbed by the catastrophic news happening around the world, Charlie Chaplin’s speech in “The Great Dictator” seemed more and more prescient: “nations, leaders, and societies that are so poorly equipped for abrupt changes and their inability to create sound solutions to problems that have happened time and time again in history.” Tomás exchanged the board for the seventh art and with this film hopes to promote freedom of thought to the events that he witnessed as a way to restore the world to the dignified currents that it once had.
