Open Field provides an inside look at women in tackle football across the globe. The film showcases women trailblazers of tackle football including Sami Grisafe, three-time quarterback for Team USA and the first female quarterback to play in a California Division I H.S. game, and Katie Sowers, the first woman in NFL history to coach in a Super Bowl.
Open Field's World Premiere took place at the Austin Film Festival in October 2020 and received an Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Riverside Film Festival in 2021.
Demi Lovato’s producer, Eren Cannata, along with KOIL (Timbaland) co-wrote and produced a ground-breaking original soundtrack with the film’s primary subject, Sami Grisafe.
