An animation made for my capstone project. Using the song “6th Station,” from the movie Spirited Away, this animation presents music as a passing encounter that invites liveliness into the monotonous and tedious everyday. On a more technical level, the animation also explores the relationship between music and movement.

I had originally planned on executing a different idea for this specific project, but after COVID-19 situation caused limitations on my previous academic schedule, I reconsidered taking the risk of doing something different. During hard times like the global epidemic we are going through, I remember and cherish the power of music, dance, and all arts to help us cope. Alongside my experience as a dancer and choreographer, I was motivated to then choreograph and create this animation.
