Las cosmotecnicas inherentes a una tierra fluyen a través de su superficie porosa en forma de río rojo. La mayor parte de la película fue grabada en el río Caño Cristales en la Sierra de La Macarena, en Meta, Colombia en 2014. Pero la edición comenzó a finales de 2018, cuando conocí al curador brasileño Jan Araújo a través de Facebook. Antes de esto, estaba tratando de pensar desde una perspectiva "global", pero al discutir varios temas con Jan, me di cuenta que las preocupaciones del tercer cine, necesitaban ser revisadas y extrapoladas al presente. "O Rio Escapa" es una película que entrelaza el pensamiento político, tecnológico, cultural, ecológico y cosmológico en una sola duración, utilizando imágenes y textos en el mismo nivel de interacción, y situándose en el paisaje y las sociedades latinoamericanas. Simultáneamente cuenta la historia de un grupo de personas que colectivamente se convirtieron en un río.

The cosmotechnics inherent to a land flow through its porous surface in the form of a red river. Most of the film was recorded in Caño Cristales River in Sierra de La Macarena, in Meta, Colombia in 2014. Before this, I was trying to think from a "global" perspective, but by discussing several issues with Jan, I realized the preoccupations of third cinema, needed to be revisited and put forward to the present. "O Rio Escapa" is a film that interweaves political, technological, cultural, ecological, and cosmological thinking into a single duration, using images and texts at the same level of interaction, and situated in the Latin American landscape and societies. While simultaneously telling a story of a group of people that collectively turned into a river.
