Synopsis
"Nuwebe" was inspired by the true story of one of the youngest mothers in Philippine history. Krista was only 9 years old when she became pregnant. Her mother believes that she was impregnated by evil supernatural creatures called "nuno sa punso" but the real story is more complicated than it seems.

The film was a Finalist at 9th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival. It won the Best Director award at the 2015 ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards in Sarawak, Malaysia."Nuwebe" was also nominated for Best Picture and Best Actress. It was screened in more than sixty international film festivals including Montreal, Vancouver, Geneva and Goteborg. It has won several international awards from the Queens World Film Festival[13] (Best Director), Harlem International Film Festival[14] (Best Actress) in New York City, Lume International Film Festival[15](Special Mention) in Brazil and Festival Internacional de Cine Puebla (Special Mention) in Mexico.
