During the twenty months of the partisan war from September 8, 1943 to April 25, 1944, the small peasant community of San Donato di Mango was the scene of significant and tragic events, which upset the lives of its inhabitants. The memory of the witnesses of that time is linked in particular to the launches of subsistence items, weapons and money made by the allies for the benefit of the partisans and to the two roundups of 16 August and 19 November 1944. This film was born from the testimonies of Erminia Bianchini, recorded in October 2008, and of Eugenia and Francesco Bona, recorded in February 2011. Three different points of view on the same events, which I tried to approach in a narrative way and enriched with a particular visual research, to return not so much the precision of the facts, as the atmosphere, the sensations and emotions experienced then. A short work, also the result of the suggestions received from the reading of Donato Bosca's text "The Sunday that even God was hidden", to be understood as the embryonic phase of a more in-depth and complete documentary film on the events of San Donato, as well as the my contribution to the recovery of a shared historical memory.
