When Tango star Monica Orozco arrives in a rural Lebanese town at the end of summer, no one could have imagined the impact of Tango and her spirited actions.
Monica Orozco is a professional Argentinian tango dancer living in Los Angeles, California. As part of the social and cultural project created by Maya Tabet Noun, she came to visit Deir El Qamar in Lebanon to teach a 10-day tango workshop for free and thus introduce something new to this small community. It is an artistic and cultural exchange that has enriched the lives of these people, bringing them closer together and teaching them new ways of communication, showing them that DANCE BELONGS TO EVERYONE.
