Objective:
The objective of this project is to throw light on the unspoken sacrifices that our forefathers had done for us during these dark years of Japanese Occupation. Although not much information is documented of Indian resistance movements, this project aims to address the glories of the hearsay stories of some Indian men who decided to rise up against the oppressive Japanese invasion

Summary:

This project was done with the support of National Arts Council’s Digital Presentation Grant (DPG). This short film was based on the legendary writer Mr P Krishnan’s work SARUGU, which is a collection of Russian plays. Being inspired by one of a play named “Kathiruntha Nenjam”, the screenplay for this film was written by Nagharaj, a prolific writer and director from Mediacorp Vasantham.
