Mosaics tells the story of Nata, who learns of his estranged father's death and returns to the Dominican Republic to bury the man he barely knew; though during his trip, Nata exhumes his father's complicated legacy and confronts its impact on his identity and family.
For decades, Dominican culture has sought a voice in film and other artistic mediums, though with little success. Raised in the spirit of cultural representation, and in search of stories the depict life, family, and culture for underrepresented voices, our team seeks to represent the rhythms and beats of the people of the Dominican diaspora, and Mosaics is the manifestation of that goal.
