From Director Darius Burke and Producer Melissa Fidler, "LYRES" (pronounced: liars) tells the true story of William McFarland and Ja Rule's quest to create a spectacular music festival in order to market their app called “FYRE” but it quickly spirals out of control and McFarland is sentenced to 6 years in prison in October 2018.

"LYRES" goes beyond any documentary about this specific subject and gives the audience a behind the scenes look at how the creators masterminded a false promise of an exclusive music festival to millions of people, but more importantly, a representation about how the most wealthiest people in america exploit others for personal gain, which happens every single day and nobody seems to care.
