I shot this short film in the fall of 2018, before the pandemic. QFC was kind enough to let me film my cousin Lizzy working her shift as a cashier on the day she celebrated her 20th year anniversary with the company. This particular store was located in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle, Washington. Sadly, it's gone now. I wanted to capture a day of a remarkable yet ordinary human working a job day in and day out that often goes overlooked. I spent all day with Lizzy filming her do her thing and I walked away with a new-found appreciation for grocery workers.
