'Lethal' (the project) was supposed to implicate an ancient British drama. Many soap drama’s within the early millennium were highly influenced by drug consumers and the effect it has on people’s lives. Prescription tablets were usually used to get high or suicide. Soap dramas like Eastenders and Emmerdale became a victim of this trend. Growing up in an area where drugs were consumed and abused made this project ever more sentimental. The infamous Eastenders scenes of Phil Mitchell high on crack provided the British society realism on the subject matter. More often today the distribution/ production of drugs are promoted showing development within British television. Me and Trae aimed to reflect on how previous perceptions of drugs were televised.
