Du haut de son plongeoir, un ex-champion sportif livre ses pensées. Une fable nostalgique et drôle acclamée par le public et la critique.

Le vieux Helge Wasenius (1927-2008), ex-plongeur de compétition et clown apprécié, livre ses pensées au bout de sa planche, les pieds dans l’eau et la tête dans les nuages. Avec maîtrise et subtilité, le réalisateur finlandais PV Lehtinen dessine un portrait intime et un hymne à la beauté du mouvement des corps. Son film a reçu de très nombreux prix.

Helge Wasenius fut le roi du plongeon dans les pays nordiques durant vingt ans. Parallèlement à sa carrière professionnelle, il poursuivit celle de plongeur-cascadeur. Dans ce film, il réalise une dernière cascade avant de retomber dans l’anonymat.
