The naked body presents a dichotomy on stage : slow, sculptural postures are interrupted by the breath, by rigid movements and sideways glances. In L’albâtre, the choreographer from Lausanne impels us to examine the nature of the strange being she incarnates, which oscillates between something inert, as well as the animal and the human. In the piece she elaborates upon an obsession with white, suggestive of a funereal allegory of the animal world.
