Kathy Rose (Film '71) is considered one of the world’s leading animation, video and performance artists. Her work has evolved from early drawn animated films of the 1970s, through her unique, pioneering performance work combining dance with film in the 1980-90s, to her current surreal performance video spectacles, installations and videos, with influence from symbolist art and Japanese Noh theater.
"A Rose is a Rose" a 50 year retrospective of the work of Kathy Rose, including video, film, animation, performance. This excerpt shows three videos: "Reverie of the Puppets", "Architecture of the Breath", "Beings of the 2nd Sphere". This show runs at The University of the Arts, at Terra Hall/Room 1201A -Gallery.
