The film follows a man sitting outside in his garden, staring off at nothing. It is implied that he has been isolated to his home and is unable to see his friends. This is shown through the cutting from the dull, desaturated footage of the garden, to the warmer footage of the character in his past spending time with his friends. The film is meant to give the audience insight into his mindset and the effect that prolonged isolation has a person’s mental state. The soundscape adds to this through the use of monotony of his hand tapping as well as the lack of sound beyond this effect. The time-lapse from day to night also suggests the fact that the man’s perception of time has also been altered, as he is still sitting in the chair doing the same thing following sunset. The cut between the bleak garden and the warmly lit table is meant to signify the differing mental states between when the man was spending time with his friends and now that he is isolated from them, as well as suggesting his situation to the audience.
