Hľadanie metafory medzi štedrovečerným kaprom a odsúdenými väzňami prináša bližší pohľad na otázku slobody a vlastnej identity. Ryba, ktorá je vo svojej podstate slobodná prichádza o život rukami väzňov, ktorých tváre sa nedajú rozpoznať, ich hlas však stále ostáva. Dá sa dlh voči spoločnosti splatiť pokorou?
