Golden Globes for Depardieu (Best Actor)
and for the film (Best Comedy).
In the film, Depardieu says the lines
below in French to convince those gathered
on the importance of planting trees.
Once I heard the sound
of wind in the trees.
Once I heard the sound
of laughter of the children.
And I wept warm salty tears
for the lost trees.
"Have the little children
come onto the trees, and
I will give them hope," he said.
But there are no trees
for poor lost poor children.
Decay is their toy.
Despair is their game.
They have only chaos to climb.
Now, as winter gives way to Spring,
there are new green leaves rustling.
The music in the wind in the trees!
At night the wind whistles thru
the mountains and the pines
Ah, melodies of the wind in the trees.
The wind in the trees,

described psithurism in his poem

Psithuros whispering is in stark contrast to
Depardieu's banging on the piano and the
chaos of the agitated cubes in this video.
