In STEM: Applied Concepts, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, Grade 6 students created their own STEM-related social and environmental statement movies or movie trailer videos. Students used technology skills to film and edit their videos, developed a persuasive message, and expanded communication skills as they created effective visual and verbal messaging to connect to the viewer. Additionally, students heard (virtually) from Anna Irwin, officer of marketing at Tangled Bank Studios, the movie production arm of Howard Hughes Medical Institute, on the technologies, innovations, and entrepreneurial work used in developing and promoting STEM-based documentaries.
