I call Joe Reyna the Sugar Man of Victoria, Texas but that would be limiting on his reach, its not just about a small town. He should be known everywhere. He lives in a house with huge church like windows with wife Regan Boldts in her childhood home. His output and music is mine blowing coming out with new songs almost weekly. He uses a basic recorder in his own apartment and is able to put out phenomenal music. It’s a man with a guitar and a mission to keep creating music no matter what. I was in Victoria Texas for a film festival when I first met Joe Reyna. And ever since then I’ve been incorporating his music into my films. This music video more than anything else is my way of saying thank you Joe Reyna. I spent two weeks drawing each frame. I’m trying to get his music to a wider audience.
