Morning Glory - 

I was excited to film this as this role is literally my life. Over the past few weeks I have been producing 4 short films and now moving into a theatrical production as production manager.

I really wanted to continue my exploration of impro + finding yourself on camera and not inhibiting yourself with efforting and acting. Of course, there is still a sense of effort with my work that I want to try and minimise but I feel I improve slightly each time. In my most recent audition prep class, I was reminded not to feel pressure to change myself when moving into a monologue - that it can actually just be seamless and just be you. I was also lucky enough to have cast for 3 projects recently and I now realise that each actor walking into the room presents themselves as a completely new character - just by being themselves. Even after watching 12 auditions, each audition is so different!! It’s great to aim for originality but I found SO much comfort having experienced the other side of the audition room. I suppose my challenge now is to trust what I experienced and let it go!



In my next version, I’d like to flip this scene entirely upside down and work on the drama within the comedy. 



This time, instead of my phone I am using my new camera. It came with a few difficulties like not being compatible with my lapel mic and my zoom recorder is on another shoot at the moment - so I just used the camera audio for this one. 

I am really interested to see what challenges await me in terms of completely changing the scene. I already have some ideas in mind.

Side note: I can see the light in my glasses!!! I’m working on fixing that for next time.
