What does it mean to occupy a liminal space, a place that is both in motion and in utter stillness?

Liminality is a transitional space, crossing over between where you/I/we were and where you/I/we are going.

The threshold as a navigational axis point isn't interested in arrival,

(what if we never arrive?)
(are we even meant to arrive?)

It's a space that reveals the unbecoming, the messy and the non-linear.

For Black, Indigenous, racialized, queer, trans, disabled, and working class folks, the liminal space is the site on which we've learned to alchemize. Especially over the last year, our collective dreaming, grieving, and healing has defied the systems and injustices that are constantly trying to keep us in the periphery. Nevertheless, we persist.

This experimental short film is a collective meditation on liminality as an ever-present landscape for our communities.
