The video artwork is born from the authorial poem, of the same title, published by Editora Urutau in the book “the man who captured sand between his fingers and claims to have stopped time briefly” in August 2020. Inspired by Mondrian, the Stijl's movement, and more specifically, the painting “Broadway Boogie Woogie”, the video poem intends to work on the matter of representation in visual arts with the poem being recited in voice-over, a procedure that seeks a language in motion inspired by Jean Luc Godard's procedures. Made during the pandemic period, the short appropriates itself of images and materials available in public domain on the internet, which go through an animation process to flex typical symbols of art history, such as museums and old galeries, as well as to blur the lines between artistic languages such as cinema and poetry. Almost at the end, the short film reaches its peak when exploring the greatest modern representation device, the motion-picture, which fades out to counter the moment of maximum abstraction in the film, in which it is only possible to represent by poetry. The final subtitles, which flash as if a warning, say: "there are things that just in poems”.
