FLAMIN Animations Programme: How to Apply: Deadline June 22, 2021

Film London and Arts Council England present FLAMIN Animations, a new funding programme for early-career black artist animators living in the UK. Apply now!

Part of FLAMIN (Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network), the programme will support four artist animators aged 18-25 as they take their first steps into a career working with the moving image, with development support and funding of £2,500 each for a new short work. In this event you will hear from the FLAMIN Team about what makes someone an artist animator, and the criteria for making an application to the new programme. There will be a walkthrough of the different questions on the application form, and what the team would like to hear from you about your work so far, and the idea you want to make.

You will also hear from Matt Ajan, Founder of Bounce Cinema, who will be supporting the team on the assessment process.

Animators making more traditional work are not eligible to apply for FLAMIN Animations- it is for experimental work only. However, there is another programme run by Film London and the BFI Network for scripted, more traditional animation. You will hear a short summary of this programme as well.

At the end of the event there will also be an opportunity for you to ask your own questions to the team. Questions can be submitted in advance.
