Horror is a great space to be creative in.

The first show I DP’ed was MTV’s Fear. It taught me a lot about the dark/the light, fixed cameras/self-generated content and social experiments. Collectively, these variables help to create a unique immersive setting that enables the the subjects to interface with their environment. Separating the characters from the filmmaking creates ownership of their experience and this type of approach to can deliver really authentic performances.

This project was amazing to work on. My Executive, Kevin Abrams, is a terrific guy and he gave me a ton of leeway to create the look for this show. Very thankful to have been able to do multiple seasons with a very large team of talented contributors.
