A Short Experimental Film by Charlie Bowen

Synopsis: Feeling blue, follows a young teen in the midst of a psychological breakdown, when the girl is seen we only ever see her alone, trapped in a confined space, by overlaying the shots of her with living plants and the outside world we see what is in her mind and her deepest desires - to be free, but without the mental capacity and capability she traps herself in her own mind, in her own room, unable to free herself. The constant feeling of sadness is sometimes referred to as “feeling blue”, in recognition of this the overall colour treatment throughout is a cool toned blue to demonstrate her emotions through a visual aspect of the film. With no real conclusion to the film, this represents what statistically goes on in the real world, young teenagers being left alone without help, never to recover from their own inner demons.

Log-line: Trapped within her mind, an alone teenager struggles to cope.
