Based on The Birds (1963) by Alfred Hitchcock, this video attempts to capture a man's fear of birds that seem to be infesting his local beach. The audio of the school children singing "Risseldy, Rosseldy" was extracted from the source material to suggest a loss of innocence due to the threat of the birds and to pay homage to the film.
Camera attention payed to Hitchcock's use of getting closer and closer to subject sitting on bench, and shots back-and-forth to the birds when the subject returns to the schoolhouse, both choices made to convey tension, fear, and suspense.
