Erika and I made fast friends, bonding over living in a household of boys! It takes a particular type of person to feel 100% content in that lifestyle and it requires someone who is down to earth, who doesn't mind getting rough or messy and can appreciate the art of potty humor! It's not for everyone!

For Erika and I, we wouldn't have it any other way. It's obvious that David and Erika love each other, their boys and of course, ice cold beer!

I started putting this wedding together based on a previous conversation with Erika. She'd seen another of our weddings and mentioned loving that style, so that was the original direction I'd gone. That was until I reached the half way point and realized the romance was a little forced and the essence of who they really were was totally missing. SO, 10 seconds from completion I start over. I ditched the slow cinematic clips for real time live candid moments.

Beware, this one moves fast, but so did the day and I wanted to really bring home that handheld run and gun style of shooting that this day required. There were so many quick sweet moments that happened while we were racing to capture them all! I loved super 8 inspired effects for this film because it seemed to match the vibe of their day... classic and simple.

I loved seeing such REALNESS captured in our viewfinders. I loved that David's only real smiles where when Erika was messing with him, not when he was being told to pose, and I love that Erika never stopped teasing him! Then, to top it all off, three adorable boys just being sweet and funny at every turn! I could not possibly love this film more!
