This dreamy footage from 1940 was one of my father's 8mm home movies, and begins aboard the Enigma with Erie Yacht Club members. We pass the Cue-Bee and other boats, come alongside a Star sailboat that has been dismasted during a regatta, take a pass through the harbor... then fast-forward a few months to snowy winter lay-up at the club.
Film digitizing was done aboard my boat, Datawake, a floating lab in the San Juan Islands.
