Hubert Sauper's Epicentro is an immersive cine-poem that winds through the streets and lives of Havana, Cuba - an epicentre of geo-politics, of the Americas and of successive empires.

The Oscar-nominated director of Darwin's Nightmare and We Come As Friends returns with a visually lush and profoundly insightful essay, filmed at a critical moment of change in Cuba.

As the country and its people feel the effects of the USA's changing foreign policy, Sauper explores a century of interventionism and myth-making, interrogating the meaning and modes of imperialism, from the arrogance of tourism to the artifice of cinema itself.
