El Remolino es una diminuta comunidad a orillas del Usumacinta en Chiapas. Sus habitantes, rodeados de una naturaleza exuberante pero frágil, luchan con el rio que les trae tanto sustento como inundación. Inmersos en este lugar, seguimos a Esther, una mujer llena de fortaleza que saca adelante a su familia y nos comparte su mundo a través de una pequeña cámara; y de su hermano Pedro, un campesino travesti que defiende su identidad y sus sueños.

El Remolino (the “swirl” in English), a tiny riverside community in Chiapas, Mexico, lives a fragile balance between overwhelming floods and an ever-giving nature. Immersed in this place, we follow Esther, a strong woman who strives to help her family as she shares her world through the lens of her camera; and her brother Pedro, a transvestite farmer who defends his identity and his dreams.
