Pour la toute première fois en Suisse, l’opéra de Philip Glass et Robert Wilson "Einstein on the Beach" est donné au Grand Théâtre de Genève. Du 11 au 18 septembre, ce monument de la musique minimale est coproduit avec la Compagnia Finzi Pasca.
En fosse, Titus Engel dirigera l’Einstein Ensemble, une formation inédite des étudiants de la Haute école de musique de Genève (HEM).
Fidèle aux idées de Philip Glass, la production de musique minimale et cyclique est un spectacle en continu d’une durée de 4 heures, durant lesquelles le public peut entrer et sortir à sa guise.
