I’m not sure if I’ve ever told you all this, but Paul (my better half) and I do all of these videos ourselves. Start to finish. We don’t have a production team or management or a record label footing the bill for all of our wacky ideas or production assistants helping us move the stupid lights a centimeter to the left. All of the camera work, the lighting, the projections, the instrument playing, the musical arrangements, the performance - everything is done by either me or him. I think we’re DIY on steroids.

And that’s almost always a good thing, until you run into problems or - gasp - want to add a light show and cool projections to your videos. It sounds big time when we’re half drunk saying “wouldn’t it be so rad if…” but when it comes down to actually DOING it, it’s hard AF and it almost NEVER works out the first time around. We’re both strong minded and have our own grandiose ideas (it was Paul’s idea for me to duct tape gear to myself and walk down the street like a live circus act), and a lot of times that ends up in either one of us wanting to strangle the other. Like, seriously. But in the end, after all of the imaginary strangling, the give and take, the half drunken ideas…MAGIC. Creating is never easy. Pssh, tbh I’d hate it if it were anyway:)
