Deborah Suzanne Lander’s multi-media practice includes appropriated objects, photography, sculpture, ink drawings, assemblage, and taxidermy.
Also combining film and photography Lander explores memory and human connections. Inspired by the techniques of Renaissance and Baroque art, such as ‘chiaroscuro’ (the use of light and shade in painting and drawing), she has an interest in how these can be transferred into the moving image.
