This is the Japanese trailer for the release in Japan of the 3rd feature film I directed called,Dark Reel starring Edward Furlong, Lance Henriksen, Tony Todd, Tiffany Shepis, Mercedes McNab, Jeffrey VIncent Parise, Alexandra Holden, Brooke Lyons and Tracey Walter with a cameo by seven time Oscar winner Rick Baker. The film was distributed in almost every country in the world, was an official selection of over 30 films festivals where it won several awards including best picture, best actress (Tiffany Shepis at the prestigous Chicago Horror Fest), Best supporting actor (Lance Henriksen) and many more awards. The film's international distribution included a midnight movie theatrical release in Germany.
Dark Reel is about a horror movie fan, Adam Waltz (played by Edward Furlong aka John Connor from Terminator 2) who wins a walk on role in a horror film alongside his favorite scream queen Cassie Blue (Tiffany Shepis) and his favorite producer Connor Pritchett (Emmy nominee, Lance Henriksen). Soon, there are a string of murders on the set of the film which resemble the unsolved 1950's murder of Scarlett May (Alexandra Holden). Before winning this walk on role and upon moving to Los Angeles, Adam Waltz noticed flyers of the late Scarlett May posted all around the street near his apartment building. These flyers all show an image of the departed Scarlett with the word "despair" written under her image. What is the connection between the set of this horror film and the unsolved Scarlett May crime? Detectives Shields (Tony Todd aka Candyman) and LaRue (Rena Riffel) hope to uncover the answers to these questions and solve these crimes before it is too late.
