CR1_ENC7_4C1DREFLUX overtime evolved to be an essentialization of what it means to breathe and live through a pandemic, the delirium of being a creative during a time where other matters take priority. This film is hence more of a parody of the journey I took this semester attempting to conceptualize an idea. At the moment it felt natural to succumb to the spontaneous and senseless directions that I felt I needed to follow. I took inspiration from the cinema of transgression set to redefine what video meant to me and I hence believe I have been successful in appealing to myself with this piece. The audio consists of a literal invoice insert of my angst towards trying to tackle multiple projects. I distorted the audio but I still believe that including the artist’s voice breaks the opportunity for potential narration from audiences. In a way I’m marking territory over this piece, outright dismissing interpretation and stating that piece is only mine to perceive.
