COSMOVILLE
The Ninth edition of University of Chichester Conservatoire's Musical Theatre Triple Threat final year degree programme. The Commission module enables students to work with industry professionals who lead them in the creation of a new musical, from page to stage with the additional core objective of experimenting with the established musical theatre form through content, site and audience relationship.
This edition was conceived as a short feature film to be shot on location, giving students an opportunity to rehearse for the camera, devise and perform on a specific site and experience performing out of sequence in order to graduate with an additional industry skillset. The production could also be delivered safely during the pandemic restrictions with majority outdoor location shots and would also not require an audience to be present in the space for the final performance to be ultimately successful.
